Short answer

Look for repeated signals at each conversion point, then change one part of the strategy at a time.

A job search is a live market test. Silence, recruiter interest, interview progression, objections, and referrals all contain information. The challenge is interpreting patterns without allowing one response to trigger a complete reinvention.

Diagnose the conversion point

If outreach gets little response, examine the target, relevance, and message. If networking conversations are warm but lead nowhere, your direction may be too broad for others to act on. If applications produce interviews but interviews do not advance, the written story is working and the live evidence needs attention.

Record signals while they are fresh. Memory tends to exaggerate the most emotional moments.

Run a controlled improvement

Change the opening message, strengthen a specific interview story, narrow the target, or test a clearer introduction. Give the adjustment enough repetitions to learn from it.

Seek feedback from people who understand the level, function, and CPG context you are pursuing. Generic advice can create unnecessary noise.
