Make your value clear, contribute a recognizable point of view, and use the platform to deepen real relationships.

LinkedIn is not simply an online résumé or a place to announce that you are looking. It is one part of how colleagues, recruiters, and hiring leaders understand what you know, what you care about, and where your experience is relevant.
Clarify the profile first
Your headline and About section should help the right audience quickly understand the problems you solve and the scope at which you operate. Experience entries should emphasize consequence and leadership, not reproduce a job description.
Use the language your market uses, but avoid packing the profile with disconnected keywords. Relevance is stronger than volume.
Build recognition through participation
Choose several themes connected to your expertise. Share informed observations, add substance to other people’s posts, and acknowledge work you respect. A consistent perspective makes you easier to remember.
Move promising interactions into real conversations. The platform supports relationships; it does not replace them.
